Update: I decided almost immediately that this artwork situation wasn't going the right direction, so it's a-changin. 



I still need to get a proper curtain and pillow covers for the dormer window, but it's really coming together, don't you think?

Nesting tables

The holidays definitely derailed me, but don't worry, I'm making all kinds of exciting plans...

I did manage to complete this little project in January.

I bought these nesting tables at World Market for a song, and the only thing I wasn't happy with was the hideous "brushed" finish on the tops that made them look just as cheap as they actually were.

Enter faux leather and spray adhesive...

Love it.

Changes

A few new additions to the living room...

Devin made this awesome bent veneer "table top" that fits over the sofa arm...

A beautiful fig tree from my parents for my birthday...

And I finally finished the painting I've been working on for months, to hang over the couch.

You probably thought I had given up on this one, huh?  Yeah, it's been a year, so what??

It looks so ridiculously amazing in person, but the room is so small that it's really hard to photograph.  So if you don't think these pictures look all that great, let's blame it on that.
