Niko and I have been making excellent use of the past few weekends - we're making may-jah headway on our
plan.
Niko and Devin spent the last weekend dismantling the crumbling stoop and putting it back together - the right way.
Once Niko opened it up, it became glaringly obvious why the brick edging was coming loose - there was absolutely nothing solid holding it up. Originally someone used cinder block as a base for the stoop, and piled rubble and loose bricks on top. Well, the cinder block on the left side had completely disintegrated, so.....not quite as simple a fix as we'd hoped.
The boys made a mold so they could pour a 2-tier solid concrete base underneath the unsupported slab.
